Darts in hand
- With three darts: treble 17, double 10.
- With two darts: treble 17, double 10.
- With one dart only doubles and the bull finish, and 71 is not one of them.
If the first dart misses
Hit the single 17 instead of treble 17 and you are left on 54. That has no finish with the darts you have left, so use the next dart to set up: single 14 leaves double 20.
The finishing double
The route finishes on double 10. If that dart catches the single instead, the double halves cleanly: double 5. That is why even doubles are the favourite finishes.
Other ways out
These routes add up too. Players pick between them by the trebles they trust and the double they like to finish on.
- T13 D16treble 13, double 16
- T19 D7treble 19, double 7
- T15 D13treble 15, double 13
