Darts in hand
- With three darts: treble 20, double 4.
- With two darts: treble 20, double 4.
- With one dart only doubles and the bull finish, and 68 is not one of them.
If the first dart misses
Hit the single 20 instead of treble 20 and you are left on 48. That has no finish with the darts you have left, so use the next dart to set up: single 8 leaves double 20.
The finishing double
The route finishes on double 4. If that dart catches the single instead, the double halves cleanly: double 2, double 1. That is why even doubles are the favourite finishes.
Other ways out
These routes add up too. Players pick between them by the trebles they trust and the double they like to finish on.
- T12 D16treble 12, double 16
- T16 D10treble 16, double 10
- D14 D20double 14, double 20
