Darts in hand
- With three darts: treble 20, single 20, double 20.
- With two darts 120 cannot be finished — the most you can check out in two is 110.
- With one dart only doubles and the bull finish, and 120 is not one of them.
If the first dart misses
Hit the single 20 instead of treble 20 and you are left on 100, which still goes out with 2 darts: treble 20, double 20.
The finishing double
The route finishes on double 20. If that dart catches the single instead, the double halves cleanly: double 10, double 5. That is why even doubles are the favourite finishes.
Other ways out
These routes add up too. Players pick between them by the trebles they trust and the double they like to finish on.
- T19 T17 D6treble 19, treble 17, double 6
- T18 T18 D6treble 18, treble 18, double 6
- T17 T17 D9treble 17, treble 17, double 9
