Darts in hand
- With three darts: treble 20, double 16.
- With two darts: treble 20, double 16.
- With one dart only doubles and the bull finish, and 92 is not one of them.
If the first dart misses
Hit the single 20 instead of treble 20 and you are left on 72. That has no finish with the darts you have left, so use the next dart to set up: double 16 leaves double 20.
The finishing double
The route finishes on double 16. If that dart catches the single instead, the double halves cleanly: double 8, double 4, double 2, double 1. That is why even doubles are the favourite finishes.
Other ways out
These routes add up too. Players pick between them by the trebles they trust and the double they like to finish on.
- T18 D19treble 18, double 19
- T14 BULLtreble 14, bull (50)
- T17 1 D20treble 17, single 1, double 20
