The route

  1. D13double 13

26 is a one-dart finish: double 13.

Dartboard with the route for 26 marked

Darts in hand

  • With three darts: double 13.
  • With two darts: double 13.
  • With one dart: double 13.

If the first dart misses

The only dart is the double itself. Drop into the single 13 and 13 is left over — that is an odd number that needs two darts.

The finishing double

The route finishes on double 13. An odd double does not halve: a single leaves an odd number that needs a single and a double, so it costs at least one extra dart.

Other ways out

These routes add up too. Players pick between them by the trebles they trust and the double they like to finish on.

  • 10 D8single 10, double 8
  • 6 D10single 6, double 10
  • 18 D4single 18, double 4
