Darts in hand
- With three darts: double 12.
- With two darts: double 12.
- With one dart: double 12.
If the first dart misses
The only dart is the double itself. Drop into the single 12 and 12 is left over — that is double 6.
The finishing double
The route finishes on double 12. If that dart catches the single instead, the double halves cleanly: double 6, double 3. That is why even doubles are the favourite finishes.
Other ways out
These routes add up too. Players pick between them by the trebles they trust and the double they like to finish on.
- 8 D8single 8, double 8
- 4 D10single 4, double 10
- 16 D4single 16, double 4
