Darts in hand
- With three darts: double 11.
- With two darts: double 11.
- With one dart: double 11.
If the first dart misses
The only dart is the double itself. Drop into the single 11 and 11 is left over — that is an odd number that needs two darts.
The finishing double
The route finishes on double 11. An odd double does not halve: a single leaves an odd number that needs a single and a double, so it costs at least one extra dart.
Other ways out
These routes add up too. Players pick between them by the trebles they trust and the double they like to finish on.
