Darts in hand
- With three darts: single 3, double 8.
- With two darts: single 3, double 8.
- With one dart only doubles and the bull finish, and 19 is not one of them.
The finishing double
The route finishes on double 8. If that dart catches the single instead, the double halves cleanly: double 4, double 2, double 1. That is why even doubles are the favourite finishes.
Other ways out
These routes add up too. Players pick between them by the trebles they trust and the double they like to finish on.
