Darts in hand
- With three darts: treble 18, treble 17, double 10.
- With two darts 125 cannot be finished — the most you can check out in two is 110.
- With one dart only doubles and the bull finish, and 125 is not one of them.
If the first dart misses
Hit the single 18 instead of treble 18 and you are left on 107, which still goes out with 2 darts: treble 19, bull (50).
The finishing double
The route finishes on double 10. If that dart catches the single instead, the double halves cleanly: double 5. That is why even doubles are the favourite finishes.
Other ways out
These routes add up too. Players pick between them by the trebles they trust and the double they like to finish on.
- T20 T19 D4treble 20, treble 19, double 4
- T17 T14 D16treble 17, treble 14, double 16
- T18 T13 D16treble 18, treble 13, double 16
