Darts in hand
- With three darts: treble 20, double 19.
- With two darts: treble 20, double 19.
- With one dart only doubles and the bull finish, and 98 is not one of them.
If the first dart misses
Hit the single 20 instead of treble 20 and you are left on 78. That has no finish with the darts you have left, so use the next dart to set up: double 19 leaves double 20.
The finishing double
The route finishes on double 19. An odd double does not halve: a single leaves an odd number that needs a single and a double, so it costs at least one extra dart.
Other ways out
These routes add up too. Players pick between them by the trebles they trust and the double they like to finish on.
- T16 BULLtreble 16, bull (50)
- T17 7 D20treble 17, single 7, double 20
- T18 4 D20treble 18, single 4, double 20
