Darts in hand
- With three darts: treble 20, double 20.
- With two darts: treble 20, double 20.
- With one dart only doubles and the bull finish, and 100 is not one of them.
If the first dart misses
Hit the single 20 instead of treble 20 and you are left on 80. That has no finish with the darts you have left, so use the next dart to set up: double 20 leaves double 20.
The finishing double
The route finishes on double 20. If that dart catches the single instead, the double halves cleanly: double 10, double 5. That is why even doubles are the favourite finishes.
Other ways out
These routes add up too. Players pick between them by the trebles they trust and the double they like to finish on.
- BULL BULLbull (50), bull (50)
- T17 9 D20treble 17, single 9, double 20
- T18 6 D20treble 18, single 6, double 20
