  2. D19double 19

95 is a two-dart finish: treble 19, double 19.

Dartboard with the route for 95 marked

Darts in hand

  • With three darts: treble 19, double 19.
  • With two darts: treble 19, double 19.
  • With one dart only doubles and the bull finish, and 95 is not one of them.

If the first dart misses

Hit the single 19 instead of treble 19 and you are left on 76. That has no finish with the darts you have left, so use the next dart to set up: treble 12 leaves double 20.

The finishing double

The route finishes on double 19. An odd double does not halve: a single leaves an odd number that needs a single and a double, so it costs at least one extra dart.

Other ways out

These routes add up too. Players pick between them by the trebles they trust and the double they like to finish on.

  • T15 BULLtreble 15, bull (50)
  • T17 4 D20treble 17, single 4, double 20
  • T18 1 D20treble 18, single 1, double 20
