Darts in hand
- With three darts: treble 19, double 12.
- With two darts: treble 19, double 12.
- With one dart only doubles and the bull finish, and 81 is not one of them.
If the first dart misses
Hit the single 19 instead of treble 19 and you are left on 62. That has no finish with the darts you have left, so use the next dart to set up: double 11 leaves double 20.
The finishing double
The route finishes on double 12. If that dart catches the single instead, the double halves cleanly: double 6, double 3. That is why even doubles are the favourite finishes.
Other ways out
These routes add up too. Players pick between them by the trebles they trust and the double they like to finish on.
- T15 D18treble 15, double 18
- T17 D15treble 17, double 15
- T17 14 D8treble 17, single 14, double 8
