Darts in hand
- With three darts: treble 7, double 20.
- With two darts: treble 7, double 20.
- With one dart only doubles and the bull finish, and 61 is not one of them.
If the first dart misses
Hit the single 7 instead of treble 7 and you are left on 54. That has no finish with the darts you have left, so use the next dart to set up: single 14 leaves double 20.
The finishing double
The route finishes on double 20. If that dart catches the single instead, the double halves cleanly: double 10, double 5. That is why even doubles are the favourite finishes.
Other ways out
These routes add up too. Players pick between them by the trebles they trust and the double they like to finish on.
- T15 D8treble 15, double 8
- T19 D2treble 19, double 2
- T17 D5treble 17, double 5
