Darts in hand
- With three darts: double 20.
- With two darts: double 20.
- With one dart: double 20.
If the first dart misses
The only dart is the double itself. Drop into the single 20 and 20 is left over — that is double 10.
The finishing double
The route finishes on double 20. If that dart catches the single instead, the double halves cleanly: double 10, double 5. That is why even doubles are the favourite finishes.
Other ways out
These routes add up too. Players pick between them by the trebles they trust and the double they like to finish on.
