The route

  1. T19treble 19
  2. T17treble 17
  3. D12double 12

132 needs all three darts: treble 19, treble 17, double 12.

Dartboard with the route for 132 marked

Darts in hand

  • With three darts: treble 19, treble 17, double 12.
  • With two darts 132 cannot be finished — the most you can check out in two is 110.
  • With one dart only doubles and the bull finish, and 132 is not one of them.

If the first dart misses

Hit the single 19 instead of treble 19 and you are left on 113, which you cannot finish this turn; score sensibly and come back to a double next turn.

The finishing double

The route finishes on double 12. If that dart catches the single instead, the double halves cleanly: double 6, double 3. That is why even doubles are the favourite finishes.

Other ways out

These routes add up too. Players pick between them by the trebles they trust and the double they like to finish on.

  • T18 T18 D12treble 18, treble 18, double 12
  • T20 T20 D6treble 20, treble 20, double 6
  • T17 T15 D18treble 17, treble 15, double 18
