Darts in hand
- With three darts: treble 18, single 20, double 20.
- With two darts 114 cannot be finished — the most you can check out in two is 110.
- With one dart only doubles and the bull finish, and 114 is not one of them.
If the first dart misses
Hit the single 18 instead of treble 18 and you are left on 96, which still goes out with 2 darts: treble 20, double 18.
The finishing double
The route finishes on double 20. If that dart catches the single instead, the double halves cleanly: double 10, double 5. That is why even doubles are the favourite finishes.
Other ways out
These routes add up too. Players pick between them by the trebles they trust and the double they like to finish on.
- T19 17 D20treble 19, single 17, double 20
- T20 14 D20treble 20, single 14, double 20
- T20 18 D18treble 20, single 18, double 18
