How the lights stay on

Nobody pays for a game at this corner and nobody signs up. The rent, though, is real — so here is plainly who pays it.

Ads on the walls, not on the tables

Server, domain and the long hours spent tuning slopes and bounces are paid for by advertising. Ads hang only on pages you read — the front page, the games list, the course and checkout lists, the how-to-play section and its guides — each in a box marked Ad space. Pages with a game on them carry none.

The network we are connecting is Google AdSense. It is not running yet, so for now each box holds a little card from us pointing back to this page, and nothing inside it is fetched from another company.

Sponsored tables

A business can also sponsor a single table, a run of numbered mini-golf courses or the daily challenge. That shows as a line reading “Sponsored by…” with the sponsor’s name, kept off the playing surface. Rules, physics, the computer opponents and every course stay exactly as they are for all players. Nobody sponsors a table today.

What never goes up on our walls

  • Ads on a table, over the scoreboard or on any game button.
  • Bought advantages: no paid hints, extra throws or weaker opponents.
  • Trade in visitor data — your games and records never leave your browser; the privacy page has the details.
  • Pop-ups or full-screen ads that break into a game.

Advertising or sponsoring a table

Write to hello@cornerbargames.com and tell us who you are and which table or page you have in mind. Ads and sponsors must sit comfortably in a family-friendly corner café; the rest we turn away.
