Darts in hand
- With three darts: double 7.
- With two darts: double 7.
- With one dart: double 7.
If the first dart misses
The only dart is the double itself. Drop into the single 7 and 7 is left over — that is an odd number that needs two darts.
The finishing double
The route finishes on double 7. An odd double does not halve: a single leaves an odd number that needs a single and a double, so it costs at least one extra dart.
Other ways out
These routes add up too. Players pick between them by the trebles they trust and the double they like to finish on.
- 6 D4single 6, double 4
- 2 D6single 2, double 6
- 10 D2single 10, double 2
